So maybe just like you in my younger years I felt like I was pretty much invincible. I was always outside and very spontaneous, willing to travel anywhere for the adventure. I now find myself being more of a home body. For instance, preferring to grab dinner and eat it in the comfort of my own home rather than going out to eat (I blame my wife for making me this way). So when Katie Lee of Katherine Elena Photography put a post up on Facebook seeing if any videographers would be interested in joining the shoot, that latter part of me wanted to stay home. (shout out to Crystal of Crystal Cofie Photography for tagging me)
Not to mention the shoot was in Spruce Pine, N.C (I had never heard of Spruce Pine) which is almost 3 hours from my home. I deliberated, but eventually messaged Katie and I was ready for the journey.
The trip was actually quite enjoyable. Driving up the mountain, feeling my ears pop, and exploring a new place whats not to love right. Upon arriving I had to marvel at the location and beauty of the Smithmore Castle, I began to feel excited.
I had never met any of the talented professionals working with me on this shoot, but it didn't matter, when you are involved in a team effort you do your part and when its all over you will appreciate their efforts.
I couldn't help but to treat this like a wedding since we specialize in Wedding Films. So it was off to "bride prep". Mirror Bomb Studio and Lauren Cirillo were taking care of the hair and makeup when I walked in. I let gorgeous models Austen Mauney and Courtney Edelman get beautified while I got some footage of the scene.
After leaving the room I met our male model for the day Max DiNatale. We had a quick convo than I was off to see the dining room setup which was well put together by Something Perfect Events & Events by Elizabeth Ashley with the feast being provided by Reid’s Café and Catering.
While getting a slider shot of the shoes I look up and this huge husky looking dog is standing about 3 feet away from me. Looking closer I could tell this was no husky at all but I real life wolfdog! Pet a wolfdog....... CHECK! Full Moon Farm Wolfdog Sanctuary
Below are some more photos for you to enjoy and of course the video that we produced for the shoot. Also check out the rest of the talented vendors at the bottom. They are all so professional and really talented in their respected fields.
