Game of Thrones Stylized Shoot | Wedding Videography Charlotte, NC

So maybe just like you in my younger years I felt like I was pretty much invincible. I was always outside and very spontaneous, willing to travel anywhere for the adventure. I now find myself being more of a home body. For instance, preferring to grab dinner and eat it in the comfort of my own home rather than going out to eat (I blame my wife for making me this way). So when Katie Lee of Katherine Elena Photography put a post up on Facebook seeing if any videographers would be interested in joining the shoot, that latter part of me wanted to stay home. (shout out to Crystal of Crystal Cofie Photography for tagging me)

Not to mention the shoot was in Spruce Pine, N.C (I had never heard of Spruce Pine) which is almost 3 hours from my home. I deliberated, but eventually messaged Katie and I was ready for the journey.

The trip was actually quite enjoyable. Driving up the mountain, feeling my ears pop, and exploring a new place whats not to love right. Upon arriving I had to marvel at the location and beauty of the Smithmore Castle, I began to feel excited.

I had never met any of the talented professionals working with me on this shoot, but it didn't matter, when you are involved in a team effort you do your part and when its all over you will appreciate their efforts.

I couldn't help but to treat this like a wedding since we specialize in Wedding Films. So it was off to "bride prep". Mirror Bomb Studio and Lauren Cirillo were taking care of the hair and makeup when I walked in. I let gorgeous models Austen Mauney and Courtney Edelman get beautified while I got some footage of the scene.

After leaving the room I met our male model for the day Max DiNatale. We had a quick convo than I was off to see the dining room setup which was well put together by Something Perfect Events & Events by Elizabeth Ashley with the feast being provided by  Reid’s Café and Catering.

The Shield Church | Rock Hill, SC | Melroid + Chanel | Wedding Videography

Melroid and Chanel sat in our living room as we had our initial meeting. I love it when meeting with clients become more of a hangout time with casual conversation about the wedding and their relationship. It helps both parties get to know each other better and we become more comfortable as the convo progresses.

This couple makes it very hard not to relax. They are smiling, talking, and playing around the entire time and you just can tell they themselves are friends.

Melroid and Chanel chose The Shield Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina as their wedding venue. It has a large sanctuary with an elevated stage and a huge gym for a reception venue.

Ok I have to tell you guys about this next "treat"! This really got Donnae and I very excited! This is the first wedding we ever done film for were the bride and groom rented out a ICE CREAM TRUCK!!! It was literally free ice cream for everybody! My childhood revisited me at this wedding, all I wanted was a screwball (you the the cone filled with frozen sorbet with a bubble gum ball at the bottom). Kudos to the Lynn's for this first time experience.

So much more I can say about this wedding but I am going to let the videography take care of the rest. Leave a comment and we will get back with you. Enjoy the production and the rest of the photos.
